A Partnership of Caring

A not for profit service organization, Agapé Hospice provides services to our residents at no charge. Agapé operates on a 5.3 million dollar operating budget and during an average 15 day stay, the resident pays only for their pharmaceuticals and oxygen.

In order to ensure that crucial services are available in the time of need, Agapé relies on the support provided by valued funding partners: Alberta Health Services – Calgary, The Salvation Army, as well as the generosity of individuals in our community, Calgary’s corporate and business leaders, and various charitable foundations and associations.

How can I make a difference?

There are a wide variety of ways in which you can make a difference. Making a donation is often a very personal and meaningful decision. Your support will make a significant difference, not only in the lives of those we serve, but in the reward that you will get in the knowledge that you have eased the pain of many or paid tribute to someone very special.

Agapé's Charitable Gifts Advisor will be happy to assist you in determining what may best fit your philanthropic requirements.

General Donations are crucial to ensure the continuance of quality care for our residents. These gifts may be in the form of a Cash Donation, or In Memoriam. A substantial donation may benefit from naming rights for your organization or family. Payment structures may be arranged on a monthly, quarterly or yearly basis.

Financial Investment Gifts - are a relatively easy way to make a substantial commitment which will benefit Agapé and provide yourself or your company with taxable rewards.

Gift In Kind Items or Services - provide items or services for the benefit of the facility, operations or administration in return for a taxable benefit.

Legacy and Estate Gifts – make a significant and lasting contribution with a planned future donation through a will or other form of designation

United Way or Salvation Army Donation may be designated to Agapé Hospice. Simply indicate your support on your remittance slip.

A 3rd Party Event – may be an event of any size and stature held by individuals, corporations or associations. These kinds of events are invaluable, not only from a fundraising aspect but by also raising awareness and providing opportunities for groups or employees to work together as a team.

Please note that certain criteria and standards in using The Salvation Army and Agapé Hospice brands are required. Agapé’s Charitable Gift Advisor will be happy to assist you in making your plans.

Making a Donation to Agapé Hospice

Monetary donations may be paid by Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Direct Deposit, Cash or Cheque made payable to The Salvation Army Agapé Hospice.

Donors wishing to become a Monthly Donor or to make a Memoriam Donation designated to Agapé should contact Agapé Hospice directly, (as noted above) rather than online, in order to ensure that required information is provided and acknowledgment is sent to the next of kin.
